Ranga Siyar or the Blue Jackal is a popular moral story from Panchtantra. It teaches a lesson on the nature of deception. In this installation, the audience is invited to uncover the story by walking inside the forest of Ranga Siyar and other animals and simultaneously listening to the audio narration. Through an interactive telling of Panchatantra tale, I wanted to rekindle children's interest in traditional stories of their land.

Stories of Panchtantra are rich in wisdom and moral values. Through simple animal tales, they make a sharp commentary on the dark, insecure sides of human beings and how ill-intentioned actions become a cause for misery in life.

The design of the installation has been inspired by the traditional European art of paper theatres where miniature sets are created in three dimensional planes. The paintings were created in collaboration with the Fine Arts department at Delhi Public School, Jodhpur.
